A brief break from work

Any sort of ordinary flying locus off in the woods, here and not, the exhaustion, the joy of working here,  my life with my wife, the things God is doing, like working with Hector and Casey yesterday, wow, wow, hearing their stories, or seeing a face light up when I ask a staff dude to join me for a sermon reading in the graveyard.  Also, when you’re outside all the time you get to see the sun light the trees on it’s way out and you can pause and wish the day farewell, you can also stop and tilt your hat to the moon when walking home along a gravel path with a little bridge over a little stream.

We saw the biggest frog and also quail followed by their young and bugs born out of a stump, dozens crawling out and taking first flight, lunches together, kids in the woods.

We’ve got a crazy good job.

I get tired of not being alone, and want to walk off and look into moving water.

Today I shaved my beard and left a mustache.

You can get down you know, and then you can squirm out and turn into a free agent, a free radical.

We have more thoughts than we imagine and if we listen to them, the good ones, the right ones, the ones telling us to create and telling us what to create and how we become capable, we can make beauty.
